We, The Hope Foundation, organizing our 15th Children’s Annual Cultural Celebration with these underprivileged children on 29th October 2014, Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. at the Science City, main auditorium, Kolkata. On this special day, over 3000 street and slum children, who would normally never get the opportunity to experience cultural programs, will be present at the celebration. More than 700 deprived children will perform cultural program with a theme “Kolkata the city of Joy”. These children do wait to get this opportunity to perform in the stage to show their talent as they do not get any other platform.

ITC Sonar had opened their doors to launch "Wish Tree" and "7 days of HOPE – a random fund collection through raffle" for the street children in need for Hope Foundation Kolkata and has done a huge splash to launch Joy of Giving Week with a press conference on 1st October 2013 at 3:00pm at ITC Sonar, Conference Hall No 4.
South City International School has organised Vatrasamman, collection of New Puja Cloths for The Hope children followed by Wish Tree.
Birla High School held a rugby match with boys from Ashirbad Home of Hope Foundation on 3rd October’ 2013 followed by Wish Tree. They also fulfilled the wishes of The Hope Foundation, Ashirbad Boy’s Home.
Tata Communication had organized Wish Tree to fulfill the wishes of The Hope Foundation children.
Annual Fundraising Golf Event at Tollygunge Club held on 21st March 2013
The annual function was a great opportunity for 3000 underprivileged children to come together and pay their heartfelt gratitude to St. Teresa with the theme – “Rhythm : The Spirit of Humanity”.
Personalities from different walks of life showed great interest in the event. Overseas Director for Volunteers Representative, Mrs Indrani Guha Brahma, Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee, Kolkata, West Bengal, Smt Ananya Chatterjee Chakraborti, Chairperson West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Mr Supriyo Sarkar - Asst. Director Department of Social Welfare, Mr Manoj Dey - Social Welfare Officer, Department of Social Welfare and Ms. Manabi Bandopadhyay, Ex-Principal, Krishnanagar Women’s College.
This year 300 of our beneficiaries passed Class X, XII and Graduation. We encouraged them by awarding them a certificate and wished them all the very best for their future endeavours.
The day witnessed a wonderful amalgamation of music, drums and dance. It was a day filled with fun and frolic with almost 550 children performing in 14 different dance forms.
To give a glance on our achievement in the last 17 years:
1. 30,000 children have been benefitted through The Hope Foundation
2. In the Health sector - 2.56 million people have benefitted via HOPE’s Healthcare Programmes; 73,000 patients treated in our HOPE hospital and over 1,600 surgeries performed
3. With reference to Education - 36,822 children received direct educational support via HOPE’s programmes; thousands of others received indirect educational support; drop-out rate from formal schools has reduced from 75% in 2005 to 5% in 2016
4. Skill - Through our Vocational Training and Income Generation Programmes 6,218 people have directly benefitted
5. Protection - 7,681 people have directly benefited from our Protection Homes Anti-Trafficking Programme and Night Watch Programme
This success would not have been possible without the support of donors, visitors, students, and volunteers; and most importantly 454 staff presently working with HOPE and thousands of ex-HOPE employees who have added value to the organisation.

South City International School donated "Pujor Jama" for our needy friends !
Dynamic rotarians from Inner City Kolkata, headed by Smarajit Mitra, President; Suman Chakraborty, Secretary; came down to our Nabadisha centre at Gariahat to donate “Pujor Jama”. Along with new clothes for durga puja they also gifted stationery, chocolates and food packets to our aspiring learners! Heartiest gratitude to Rotarians for their daan. An IT giant was at one of our protection homes for boys to prepare breakfast for our children. They celebrated Daan Utsav by doing sandwichseva for our younger lads.
SunDew Solutions celebrated Daan Utsav by donating PujorJama, sports & fitness equipments, toiletries and first aid materials to our children in two of our protection homes.
Shri Shikshayatan School planned a huge drive with the help of their children to help us with good amount of grocery for the disadvantaged this year.
The PDP Group brought some grocery, along with some beautiful Durga Puja greeting cards for all the children in the home.
Mount Litera Zee School , Maheshtala and Dhulagarh celebrated Daan Utsav big time this year. They donated not just pujor jama but also stationery, educational materials, snacks and toys. The enthusiasm with which the children collected these items is unquestionably praiseworthy.
Erevmax Technologies Pvt Ltd, DLF Rajarhart decided to donate one month's grocery to one of our protection homes this Daan Utsav.
PRAN Litchi Drink - the luscious lychee people were at one of our protection homes for girls where they arranged exciting games for our kids and interacted with them. They treated the girls to yummy breakfast followed by a delicious lunch. Alongwith they distributed 60 packs lichi drink and potato chips ! The multi-talented school children of Calcutta International School gave a warm welcome to our kids to celebrated Daan Utsav. Along with some PujorJama for their 'needy friends' the children also prepared two skits. The school also arranged food packets for all our children.
Future Campus School too helped us to make our flagship event PujorJama a big success by donating beautiful dresses for the less fortunate, this Daan Utsav.
Birla High School also gifted our children from one of our protection homes for boys with brand new clothes for pujo and treated them to yummy snacks.
Modern High School also donated 478 pujor jama and 100 pairs of new shoes for our girls this Daan Utsav.

Mahadevi Birla World Academy donated pjor jama and educational materials. We also had a global Financial services company taking part in Daan Utsav. They organised a sit and draw competition for our girls at one of our protection homes and awarded the winners with attractive prizes. They also donated pujor jama for 39 girls and treated all the staff and children to delicious snacks and drinks.
Mrs. Sangeeta Bajoria, a patron of Hope for years now, donated pujor jama for 61 girls at one of our homes for younger girls.
Mr. Anand Agarwal, another patron of Hope donated new dresses for girls of various protection homes
Tridhara Sammilani Puja Committee, one of the renowned clubs in the city, for organising Durga Puja, donated pujor jama for 75 kids from various projects of Hope and treated 59 kids and staff to a sumptuous lunch
Puja Parikrama, with Let’smeettours. A big thanks to letsmeettours for organizing puja parikrama for all our children. We went to Sovabazar Raj Bari, Chatu Babu Latu Babu, Rani Rashmani, Nilmani Mitra Puja Bari followed by an awesome lunch at Lalit Great Eastern. Children participated in fashion show, danced and enjoyed the parikrama full flegedly.
